Best-Ever Steak Marinade
Makes 1-1/4 cups.

2 medium shallots, minced
1 tablespoon dried thyme leaves
3 tablespoons (packed) dark brown sugar
1/4-cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1/3-cup vegetable oil

Combine all ingredients and place in heavy-duty zip-top bag or plastic container with tight fitting lid. Add the steaks and seal the container. Place in the refrigerator and marinate overnight. (If using a plastic bag, turn it often to evenly distribute the marinade.)

South Seas Marinade
Makes slightly more than 1 cup.

1/4-cup soy sauce
1/2-cup pineapple juice
1/4 cup cooking sherry
1/4-cup brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon minced garlic

Mix all ingredients. Marinate meat at least 2 hours before grilling.

Easy Steak Marinade Italiano
Makes 1/2 cup.

1/4 cup bottled steak sauce
1/4 cup prepared Italian salad dressing
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Combine all ingredients. Use to marinate any steak several hours or overnight in the refrigerator. Use marinade to baste beef while cooking or boil and serve with beef.
